Vossloh signs long-term framework agreements for switch components in Sweden and Italy with a total sales volume of up to €100 million
Vossloh announces the conclusion of multi-year framework agreements in Sweden and Italy. During the coming years, Vossloh will supply switch components to Trafikverket, the Swedish Transport Administration. In Italy, switch components and systems for high-speed lines will be supplied to the state-owned rail company Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (RFI).
The framework agreements in Sweden have a term of at least four years and include two options for extensions of two years each. The total sales volume including the options amounts to more than €75 million. The Swedish company in the Customized Modules division, which has supplied switch systems and components to Trafikverket for many years, will be responsible for implementation. “We are pleased that the renewed trust Trafikverket placed in Vossloh will allow us to continue our successful cooperation with them. The renewed contract is a sign of the reliability of our products”, says Andreas Busemann, CEO of Vossloh.
In Italy, the framework agreement has a term of two years and a sales volume of €25 million. The components for high-speed turnouts will be manufactured in the French based production units of the Customized Modules division. For many years, Vossloh has maintained successful business relationships with RFI. “We are very pleased that RFI has placed its trust in us. These framework agreements will enable Vossloh to sustain our well established market position in Italy”, explains Andreas Busemann.
